Ancistrus sp (L184 = L107)
Ancistrus sp. L 184, the brilliant antenna catfish (= A. sp. L 107) originates from the central Rio Negro catchment area and has been caught in the Rio Demini, for example. This species has comparatively large and bright white spots (e.g. in comparison with L 181 or Ancistrus dolichopterus L 183) and a rather flat body shape with a slightly broader head (similar to L 255). I was able to acquire the first juveniles from a customer in 2021, which unfortunately all turned out to be males. But since mid-2023 I also have 2 beautiful females, which I was kindly able to get from Ingo Seidel, thanks Ingo, thanks also for the great picture. So I hope to be able to see offspring of this very beautiful catfish in my aquariums in the near future.
