Ancistomus sp (L387)
I acquired my Ancistomus sp. L 387 at the end of 2018; at the time it was a very large group of small offspring, some of which I have reared to this day. This Ancistomus species is found in the catchment area of the Rio Meta in Colombia, near the border with Venezuela and just before the tributary to the Orinoco. In comparison with Ancistomus sabaji (grows up to 30 cm depending on origin), for example, this species remains rather small (maximum 13-15 cm) and is somewhat similar to Ancistomus sp. L 147.
Thanks to Elko (Kinlechner) for the nice photos.
