Description
Calvus cave – perfect not only for guinea fowl perch
The rough and structured surface looks very natural and blends perfectly into near-natural pool landscapes. It also provides very good support for growing plants.
Standing upright, this model is actually intended for guinea fowl cichlids (Altolamprologus calvus), but it is also ideal for other aquarium inhabitants that like it cramped.
Many smaller L catfish like to use this crevice cave, which is closed at the back, as a place of retreat and one or the other certainly also as a spawning cave.
Stacked horizontally, these caves are a hiding paradise for L046 and other small species.
The cave can therefore be used standing up or lying down and can be stacked if necessary. When used upright, at least for size M, it is essential to have a substrate into which the cave can be easily pressed, as otherwise it can easily tip over due to the floor surface-height ratio.
