Description
Wood Apple Cave hiding place
The Indian wood apple or elephant apple (Limonia acidissima) belongs to the rue family (Rutaceae) and occurs naturally in India, Bangladesh and Sri Lanka.
The tree forms round to oval berries with a woody hard shell, which can serve as a great hiding place in the aquarium.
Like all woody natural products, the wood apple will initially float up when brought into the aquarium and should be fixed to the bottom with a heavy object until it stays down on its own.
